The 39th Annual Baltimore Bach Marathon
March 22, 2015, 2-7 p.m.
The Choir of St. David's, performing the motet Jesu, meine Freude,
BWV 227, at the 2015 Baltimore Bach Marathon.
Celebrating its 39th year, the Baltimore Bach Marathon presented an afternoon and evening of music featuring the works of one of Western Classical music's greatest composers, Johann Sebastian Bach. The 2015 marathon, which lasted from 2-7 p.m. on March 22, featured works performed on organ, harpsichord, piano, violin, 'cello, flute, and more, culminating in a performance by the St. David's Choir of the motet Jesu, meine Freude. Sandwiches and cakes are made available at the Marathon starting at 4:00 p.m. in the Great Hall (a $5 donation is appreciated). The concert is free each year, but a $5 donation per hour attended helps to ensure that wonderful music continues to fill our church. Visit us on Facebook for up-to-date information, as well as preview videos of what's in store for this year's Marathon!
